Full-stack & AI engineer who ships to production.

I’m Ibrahim — I design and build web applications and the AI systems behind them. React and Next.js on the front, Django and Python on the back, LLM and RAG pipelines where they actually earn their keep.

What I do

Three things I do properly, rather than
ten things I do adequately.

Most of my work falls into one of these. If your problem sits across two of them, that is usually a good sign it is the kind of project I enjoy.

AI & LLM Engineering

Ship AI features that hold up in production

Retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents and chat interfaces built on real evaluation rather than demos. I handle retrieval quality, cost control, latency and the guardrails that keep output trustworthy.

  • RAG pipelines over your own documents and data
  • Chatbots and copilots wired into existing products
  • Model selection, prompt evaluation and cost tuning

Full-Stack Web Development

From empty repo to a product people pay for

End-to-end product builds: data modelling, APIs, and interfaces that stay fast as they grow. I have taken a diverse range of applications from first commit through to launch and ongoing iteration.

  • React and Next.js front ends built for Core Web Vitals
  • Django REST and Node APIs with sane data models
  • Dashboards, portals and multi-tenant SaaS platforms

DevOps & Automation

Release without holding your breath

The unglamorous work that decides whether a launch goes smoothly: containerised environments, automated pipelines and monitoring, so shipping becomes routine instead of an event.

  • CI/CD pipelines with automated testing gates
  • Containerised deploys to AWS, Azure and Vercel
  • Scraping, ETL and scheduled automation jobs

How I work

No black boxes, no month-long silences.

Hiring a developer you have never met is a risk. This is how I try to make that risk small and visible rather than large and hidden.

  1. Scope

A short call to pin down the actual problem, the constraints around it, and what success looks like. You leave with a written scope and a fixed estimate.

  2. Build

Weekly demos against a working deployment. No month-long silences — you see progress you can click on, and change direction while it is still cheap to.

  3. Ship

Deployment, monitoring and CI so releases are boring. Handover includes documentation and a walkthrough for whoever maintains it next.

FAQ

The questions I get asked first.

If yours is not here, ask it directly — I answer email faster than I answer forms.

What kind of projects do you take on?

Mostly two kinds: full product builds where I take something from an empty repository to a live application, and AI features added to products that already exist — RAG systems, chatbots, document processing and agent workflows. I work with founders, startups and product teams who need an engineer who can own the whole stack.

Which technologies do you work with?

On the web side: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Django, Python and PostgreSQL. On the AI side: OpenAI, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Qdrant, Hugging Face and Groq. For infrastructure: Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure and Vercel.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes, and it is a large share of the work I do. I start with a review of the current code, dependencies and deployment setup, then give you an honest assessment of what should be kept, refactored or replaced before any code gets written.

How do you price work?

Fixed price for well-defined scopes, and a monthly retainer for ongoing work or longer builds. Either way you get the number before anything starts. Smaller pieces of work can be run hourly through Upwork or Fiverr.

How quickly can you start?

I usually reply within 24 hours and can typically begin within one to two weeks, depending on current commitments. Urgent work can sometimes be accommodated sooner — it is worth asking.

Do you work across time zones?

Yes. I work with clients across the US, Europe and Australia, and keep several hours of overlap with your working day for calls and quick turnarounds. Async updates cover the rest.

Have something you need built?

Tell me what you are trying to do and what is in the way. If I am the right person for it, I will say so and tell you what it would take. If I am not, I will say that too.
